This past weekend I made a dessert stand for my sister’s birthday. She’d wanted a dessert stand like this (in photo below) for a while. (Cupcakes – HERE)
A few years ago already I saw this kind of dessert stand in a magazine (don’t ask me which one). I liked it. So, I made one. Later I made two more stands: a candle stand and a jewelry stand.
This is all you need to make one:
- small terra cotta flower pot
- large terra cotta flower pot base
- acrylic enamel spray paint(s) OR acrylic color(s) + clear acrylic enamel spray
- strong glue
And this is such an easy DIY-project that you don’t even need instructions. Am I right? :)
So simple, but so cute! Great idea.
Super cute! I’ve been doing this with vintage china and candlesticks, but I love this idea!
Cute, I like that your pieces match. I have been making mix and match cake stands for parties the last couple of years. I generally use old china that I find at Goodwill :)
